Who We Are - Nice people, making excellent wine, and having fun.

Jak Meyer and Janice Stevens – Proprietors

Following my lifelong passion for wine, I spent three years searching for the perfect vineyard site in the Okanagan Valley.

In 2006 our family purchased a small 1.62 HECTARE vineyard on the Naramata bench. In late 2008 we purchased a 6.9 HECTARE property in Okanagan Falls. Here, we handcraft single vineyard wines of excellence.

In our small vineyards, where we produce less than 2000 cases from mature 14 year old vines, we strive to produce the finest wines possible.

I hope you enjoy our wines as much as we enjoyed making them

Sincerely,
Proprietor

Janice Stevens – Proprietor

After a number of years at accounting firms and 3 years of her CGA, Janice was well on her way to becoming a CA when their first daughter Sydney arrived. Soon after she was blessed with a second little girl, Kamryn. Now with the girls 5 and 6, Janice is involved full time and is responsible for all the accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, and management. Prior to her accounting career, Janice spent many years in the food and beverage business, and brings a keen interest and understanding of the business to the organization and she is often seen at events or the winery pouring wine.

Chris Carson - Winemaker

Chris returns to Canada after eight years spent in New Zealand, California and Montrachet. He brings his expertise in crafting award winning wines and also his New Zealand wife Jacqueline Kemp and son Jerry. Chris is hands on in the vineyard, following the grape from pruning to harvest and creating excellent wines. He especially loves the heartbreak grape, Pinot Noir and supervised the planting of 9000 new pinot vines in early 2009 at McLean Creek Road Vineyard. A graduate of Lincoln University, Canterbury, New Zealand with his Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology, Chris Carson brings with him his extensive enthusiasm and skills in all areas of winemaking and production.

Terry Lynne Meyer - Tasting Room

Terry Lynne Meyer is a former television host, a Miss Canada, an entrepreneur, a partner in Three Blondes & a Brownie (supplying low fat muffins to McDonald’s Restaurants across Canada), and most recently a Life Coach and writer. She now lives her dream on the Meyer Family Vineyard in Okanagan Falls and can be found most days in the Tasting room, sampling their wines.

Andrew Stone - Assistant Viticulturalist

Andrew Stone spent years in Calgary as a Systems Analyst and now finds himself out in the fields as Assistant Viticulturist and Cellar Rat. The transition has been a welcome one as he loves the wine industry and the chance to get out from behind the desk and live in the beautiful Okanagan.

Jessica Harlow - Tasting Room

Jessica fell in love with the Okanagan and Wine country in early 2002 while visiting her mom and brother who had moved to the area. She began working in the Wine industry during the summers, while finishing her degree at VIU in Nanaimo. Immediately after graduation Jessica moved to Penticton permanently and started working in both the vineyard and tasting room at various wineries on the Naramata Bench. Eager to learn as much as she could Jessica worked many harvest, crushes and winters pruning as well as the summers in the tasting room. Now a graduate of Intermediate WSET Jessica is excited to put it to good use on the Meyer Family Vineyards team.
